Welcome to Roger and Sons, MN
History
Roger and Sons-40 years and growing. Forty years in business is a good reason to trust a small company. A company that’s made it through life’s ups and downs just like you. These 40 years have been filled with business expanding experiences. Starting young, Roger’s careers included owning a service station a sod business and packaging “Super Dirt”. The landscaping business kept the company busy for several years providing new lawns and yard maintenance to many individuals in the local area. In winter Roger would move the company south and spent the season in Florida doing the same of type of jobs. In Austin the landscaping field was growing and Roger spotted a new opportunity. There was now a need for a small hometown company that could install or repair asphalt driveways. Roger had been heading in this direction through his side work in demolition and equipment sales. He did his homework and the trucks-yes, the Yellow Ones-that had hauled dirt and demolition debris were now filled with Blacktop.
Company Summary
The Blacktop field gave Roger’s business a chance to grow in another direction and Roger’s family was growing too. He now had four sons old enough to work beside him. All with the same drive to work in the independent service area and each with their own talents to contribute to the family owned business. As the company grew in size, the ability to take on larger Blacktop projects also grew. Installing parking lots and new roads for local Business’ and surrounding communities became regular season work. Locals recognize his company signature—if it’s yellow equipment—it must be Roger and Sons! Roger didn’t forget the individual driveways he had installed beginning his new career. New blacktop needs maintenance and by using a good quality sealcoat material Rogers’ crews made sure these driveways and parking lots stayed in good shape. Upgrading equipment and learning about advances in application have kept his company up and moving forward. When Roger’s sons-Jim, Dan, Joe and John-stepped up to the plate with the blacktopping portion of the business, Roger developed an area that would take the business to another level. Knowledge gained in years of purchasing and replacing equipment was put to use on sales of the same. The business began producing sales in the blacktop equipment field, such as, pavers, loaders, dump trucks, graders, bobcats, sealcoat machines and trailers, hotboxes and so on. Selling equipment has turned into a major interest for Roger. One where he combines knowledge with passion and the result is a good buy. Having sold and shipped equipment from east coast to west, Roger and Sons is always hard at work helping you get what you need.
